Scholastic backwardness is one of the commonest of problems in children that teachers and parents alike have to face and deal with them. Children differ very much in their interests and in their ability to apply themselves to their school work
School Social Work draw on a number of diverse tasks to meet the unique needs of each school and the priorities of each children in principle. Using the ecological frame work as an organizing principle, these tasks include advocating for at risk students and their families; empowering families to share their concerns with school officials; maintaining open line of communication between home and school ; helping families understand their children's educational needs; consulting with teachers about students living situations and neighbourhood conditions; and collaborating with teachers and other school professionals to assess students needs and developing strategies to meet their needs.
